Ergonomic Assessment/Consultationback to top
MHC provides knowledge and guidance in the area of ergonomics. The workstation design, equipment and tools used, physical layout, and environmental factors are assessed in the context of the job task physical demands. Following industrial safety standards, the risk factors and hazards are identified. After a thorough analysis recommendations may include ergonomic equipment or tools, modification in work methods, job task rotation, stretching exercises and body mechanics training.
Employee Early Interventionback to top
An MHC therapist sees the employee directly at the worksite, one on one, with early signs of repetitive strain injury or other early identified injuries. By intervening early, this results in the prompt resolution of the injury and prevents time loss injuries.
Group Employee Prevention Sessionsback to top
An MHC therapist will tailor make a prevention program for a particular work area or for the entire worksite. Work site specific education sessions may focus on for example, back injuries or repetitive strain injuries, optimal body mechanics and work methods, ergonomic recommendations, job task rotation or stretching exercises.
Post Offer-Pre Employment Testingback to top
For many employers, determining whether individuals meet the essential functions of a particular job is an important component of a pro-active corporate safety program. MHC develops testing that is specifically designed for the particular job in question.
