Functional Capacity Evaluations and Return to Work with Mental Health Conditions at our Live Virtual Workshop on November 26 & 27, 2021. Register at maxot.ca/MAC-Workshops

Occupational Therapists are unique as the only health care professional that brings the whole person approach. Whether you are conducting a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE), worksite assessment or developing gradual return-to-work/stay-at-work programming, the whole person integrated approach is key for successful safe and sustainable return-to-work and stay at work. Mental health is affected when individuals sustain a physical injury, chronic health condition, brain injury, or experience ongoing stress or traumatic events. Research tells us that psychosocial factors are more important than physical factors in determining return-to-work. This in-depth workshop for mental health challenges emphasizes current evidenced based research and practice, objective assessment tools; uses clinical case studies, video, small group discussion and clinical reasoning activities.
